In Minneapolis, the voice of the people...

Summer is starting, and what better time for an extended nap in the air-conditioned office.
Karyn's garden. This is just insane. Normal gardens do not look like this. We don't get flowers this pretty at the florist!
Tiff and Derrell's loft.
A lot of air and hair, and some cat too. Tiff and Derrell's, to be exact.
The food was great and probably even worth the wait. Bill Fox, his girlfriend, Tiff, and DDP

Last ones out...

This has to be the biggest pear I have ever seen in my life. A welcome gift in my hotel room in Seoul.

Seoul City Hall
I was walking along the street when suddenly this parade showed up.

A downtown Seoul street hugging an old palace. It almost looks peaceful, until you're thrust out into ... (next picture)
Broad boulevards, tall buildings, millions of people... oh, and a McDonalds, of course. That's Seoul.

You can see this construction worker is not taking the protective aspect of her hard hat very carefully. More jaunty and fashionable than your normal Teamster style.

Seoul is filled with stuff like this. What the Japanese didn't burn and the Korean's didn't cover with concrete is beautiful.

Animated hammering man. This is like 30 meters tall. And he's hammering, up and down, over and over. I took a movie of this.

Detail of one of these gates in downtown Seoul
Seoul wall detail. Someone wanted this wall to look kind of interesting. And it does. Kind of.

Your garden-variety garden with royal palace in it.

Here I am standing in front of something I don't understand, but which probably has to do with something bad the Japanese did to the Koreans, which seems to have been a fairly constant theme. This was before they did bad stuff to the Chinese and the US.

Seoul...

More of me in Seoul. Sorry that the colors aren't very good. You'll have to imagine. Digital cameras suck. June, 2005.
Detail of edge of one of these structures. Look at how they've stamped a seal into the end of each piece of the roof.
In Korea, it's all about the food. Not that Krispy Kreme is food, of course, but they have one of those too.
More Seoul food.
More Seoul food. Fish, even.
This looked really good. I mean *really* good. Seoul, June, 2005.
