Biosketch for Kevin Lynch
Dr. Kevin Lynch received his Master's Degree in Management Information Systems in 1985, and his Ph.D. in Business Administration - specializing in Management Information Systems - in 1989. Dr. Lynch has worked in the software industry for 15 years, specializing in database application development, information retrieval and analysis, high-performance databases, and software process improvement. He has published a number of journal articles in the MIS field, and many conference proceedings papers. He is a co-founder of the original "Concept Space" textual analysis technology developed at the University of Arizona.
The last 5 years Dr. Lynch has spent in Silicon Valley where he focused on the analysis of very large software systems (1-6M lines), their architecture, design, and code. His analyses included identification of architectural, design and code weaknesses, and the design of specific quality improvement plans to avert catastrophic software events.
Dr. Lynch is currently the Team Leader for COPLINK, a $1.2M Department of Justice project to integrate disparate law enforcement databases in a single web-based interface.
